Just a little more from Deb...One
Note Samba, recorded with Moises
Borges and Rai Medrado,
Cleveland, Ohio
Brasil also brought Deb and Peter together with Deb's long time pen pal
from England,
Liz Ashton  and her dear husband, Tony!  Liz is an
accomplished jazz vocalist who also has a passion for Bossa Nova!

Just a little about Deb Davidson...

Deb is a native of Cleveland and a graduate of Notre Dame College with a B.A. Degree.  Deb has
been entertaining professionally since her graduation from college.  She has "paid her dues" in the
entertainment world, touring the USA and Canada with the show group Bossa Nostra, which was the
brainchild of
Clarence Solar, keyboard artist and composer.  Deb performed as a vocalist as well as
playing key bass and synthesizer.  Early on, her repertoire consisted mainly of show tunes, Latin and
musical comedy.  Only later did Deb develop her love for jazz...as well as her ears... while working
with the late Neal Creaque and Chink Stevenson.

Deb has a style that is all her own as she loves to explore beyond the traditional, using her voice "like
an instrument with creations that present a unique delivery of improvisation, animation and clarity."

Deb and her husband, Peter love travel to Brasil.  Their mutual love for the music of this enchanting
country as well as friendships made with many Brasilians, has taken them back several times. Deb
and Peter have made several contacts with musicians in Rio de Janiero and Belo Horizonte as well as
Bahia and has done some recording and performance in both Rio de Janiero and Salvador da Bahia.

One of Deb & Peter's favorite places to stay in Salvador da Bahia  is owned by musician, Octacilio
Rocha.  The name of this marvelous, musical retreat  is
Pousada Encanto, Itapoan.

Deb also did a recording their last visit to Brasil with the group, Duo Brasil...funny  little story
here...Peter and Deb missed their connecting flight from Rio to the USA and were forced to remain in
Rio one more evening.  They met with their good friend and  popular Brasilian songstress,
Fernanda
Cunha ,  for one more evening of Brasilian music.  Fernanda and Marco took Peter and Deb to an
area called Lagoa,  where Deb was introduced to the duo, who invited her to share the stage...it was
magical!  Fernanda and her husband, Marco arranged for a recording early the next morning at
Siri
Records
before their flight left for the USA!
Deb & Duo Brasil featuring Nuno Neto

Berbel playing cajon and
