Our service is offered to the homeless and disadvantaged members of the community. We contact and visit soup kitchens, shelters and hospitality homes. Those with available space and a positive response to our mission are then selected as potential sites and are served on a first come, first serve basis. Joy through Music plays at many different events for the homeless and those less fortunate individuals. Joy through Music always provides quality music performed by many different and talented local musicians. The music that is performed at each concert varies. Everything from jazz and blues to Brazilian bossa nova and samba is enjoyed by those who attend the concerts. Members of the audience are encouraged to dance, sing along and play percussion. Joy through Music is not a religious group, but we do perform many songs of hope and encouragement. |
